Critical thinking and decision making: Students in High School of Business™ develop critical thinking and decision-making skills. Projects are planned around topics that lend themselves to thoughtful consideration, and students are provided with the tasks, supports, and scaffolds needed to develop critical thinking tools and strategies.
Transferable skills: Students learn transferable skills, which are the skills needed to create a well-rounded individual that can thrive both in their personal and work lives. This includes adaptability, leadership, initiative, efficiency, social skills, creativity, critical thinking ability, collaboration, and communication skills.
Communication skills: Students in the High School of Business™ are enrolled in DECA. In DECA, there are countless activities that help students build effective communication skills, such as class presentations, prep role plays, practice competitions, or district competitions. DECA helps students prepare for their future careers and everyday lives.
