MOUNTAIN RANGE DECA & HIGH SCHOOL OF BUSINESS STUDENTS PIE TEACHERS TO GRANT WISHES!

On September 14th, 2022, pies were flying at Mountain Range High School! High School of Business and DECA students and staff geared up to pie one another in the face to raise money for Make-A-Wish Colorado. They set a new school record and raised over $20,000!

Mountain Range DECA has been hosting the annual Pie in the Eye charity event since 2007. Pie in the Eye is an annual event in which students challenge staff to raise money. Whoever raises the most money gets to pie the loser in the face in front of the entire school at the pep assembly. Make-A-Wish Colorado grants a wish for children between the ages of 2 1⁄2 and 18 who have been diagnosed with a critical illness. Every eligible referred child is granted a wish. A family’s socioeconomic status is never a factor in determining eligibility, and the family is always included in the wish.

Adams 12 Superintendent Chris Gdowski was also challenged by High School of Business students to raise money. He sadly lost and was pied, but commented that taking a pie to the face was worth it because it raised money for a good cause!

Mountain Range DECA and High School of Business students want to thank the staff, students, and community for their support!
