Business in Action!

Through Mountain Range High School of Business, I had the opportunity to learn about the management principle called the Law of Diminishing Returns. This law describes the perfect balance of employees to finances and is an important business strategy to understand in a management career. We learned about this by doing an activity where we had to compete to create products as employees on a time crunch and find the ideal number of employees to use compared to the price for their work. I was the first to attempt to make as many products as possible, all by myself, and it was overwhelming! (see photo on left) It helped me better understand the need for help in the real-life workplace and the necessity of knowing about the Law of Diminishing Returns to create the most efficient work output possible. My team won because we could more effectively assume the balance according to the concept we were learning about. Overall, this experience was amazing for learning about the real business world and preparing me for the future when I enter into an actual career. Mountain Range High School of Business often provides opportunities like these, and every single one contributes more to my learning than the last. The course teaches me so much!
